Summary

I am currently a Senior Computational Biologist on the Computational Discovery team at Foundation Medicine in Boston. I develop and apply statistical models for genomic, imaging, and real-world clinical data to study how cancers arise, how they resist treatment, and how they can be monitored over time.

Prior to joining Foundation Medicine, I was a Computational Scientist at the Core for Computational Biomedicine (CCB) at Harvard Medical School, founded by Dr. Robert Gentleman. My work there supported pre-clinical collaborators across departments, covering the QC, integration, and analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and proteomics data, along with predictive models for post-translational modifications. scDiagnostics grew out of that work as a separate project.

Before moving to Boston, I completed my PhD in Statistics in the Department of Statistics at the University of British Columbia, co-supervised by Dr. Ruben Zamar and Dr. Stefan Van Aelst. The dissertation develops a data-driven ensemble framework for high-dimensional data. During my doctoral studies I spent a summer as a visiting researcher at the Department of Mathematics at KU Leuven and, in parallel, as a Google Summer of Code developer working on time-series software for standard-error estimation under serial dependence. I also worked as Lead Statistical Programmer at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation. I then stayed at UBC as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Gabriela Cohen-Freue, extending my dissertation work on ensembles toward robust estimation.

Earlier, I studied mathematics and statistics as an undergraduate in Montréal, and completed an MSc in Statistics at the University of Toronto. I am originally from the Montérégie, in Québec.
